We have been learning about the celebration of Matariki- the Maori New Year. On Wednesday we had a whole day to celebrate Matariki. We were in groups and rotated around different activitites during the day. The activities were- making a kite, making up a routine using rakau sticks, making star shaped cookies, and writing a story about something fun we have done with our families this year.
